James F. O’Gorman
James F. O'Gorman is McNeil Professor Emeritus at Wellesley College. He is chairman of the Maine Historic Preservation Commission and author of numerous books, including Living Architecture: A Biography of H. H. Richardson (1996), ABC of Architecture (2000), Connecticut Valley Vernacular (2002) and co-author of Gervase Wheeler: A British Architect in America, 1847-1860. O'Gorman's 2008 book, Henry Austin: In Every Variety of Architectural Style, is the winner of Historic New England's 2009 Book Prize and the 2010 Henry-Russell Hitchcock Award from the Victorian Society of America.
