John Luther Adams
John Luther Adams has released 11 recordings and worked with many prominent performers. He is a recipient of the Heinz Award for his contributions to raising environmental awareness. Adams has also been honored with the Nemmers Prize from Northwestern University. He has taught at the University of Alaska, Bennington College, and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. His writings have appeared in numerous periodicals and anthologies, including The Best Spiritual Writing (2002) and The Book of Music and Nature (Wesleyan, 2000), and contributor to John Cage Was by James Klosty. His music is recorded on Cold Blue, New World, Cantaloupe, and Mode.
