Karen Brennan
Karen Brennan is Professor of English at the University of Utah. She is the author of the memoir Being with Rachel, which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. Other books include a poetry collection, Here On Earth, two collections of fiction, Wild Desire (1990) and The Garden in Which I Walk. Wild Desire won the Associated Writing Programs Award for Short Fiction. A second volume of poetry, The Real Enough World, was published by Wesleyan University Press in 2005. In addition to being nominated for Pulitzer Prize, Brennan has also received the National Endowment of the Arts Award in Fiction and several Pushcart nominations/special mentions. Since 1993, she has been on the low residency faculty of the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers.
