Matthew WarshauerMatthew Warshauer is a professor of history at Central Connecticut State University. He serves as the co-chair of the Connecticut Civil War Commemoration Committee, which develops programs and events commemorating the war's sesquicentennial. Dr. Warshauer is a Professor of History at Central Connecticut State University. The author of five books, he is a specialist on 19th century political ad constitutional history. His most recent book, published by Wesleyan University Press, Inside Connecticut in the Civil War: Essays on One State's Struggles is an edited collection that offers additional insights into how Connecticut struggled through the war period and its aftermath. His scholarship and work as a public historian has been recognized by the new England History Teacher's Association 2012 Kidger Award and the Association for the Study of Connecticut History's 2012 Bruce Fraser Award.
