Tan Lin
Tan Lin is a writer, artist, and critic. He has published several books of poetry, Seven Controlled Vocabularies and Obituary 2004 The Joy of Cooking, Lotion Bullwhip Giraffe, BlipSoak01, and Heath: Plagiarism/Outsource. His poetry and scholarly writing have been published in many anthologies, including the Norton Anthology of Asian American Writing and Telling It Slant: Avant-Garde Poetics of the 1990's. His visual and video works have been exhibited at the Yale University Art Gallery, the Sophienholm (Copenhagen), and the Marianne Boesky Gallery. Lin has been the recipient of many grants and awards, including the Gertrude Stein Award for American Poetry, the Van Rensselaer Award for Poetry, the J. Paul Getty Visiting Scholar Fellowships, and the Any Warhol Foundation/ Creative Capital Arts Writing Grants. He is a professor of English and creative writing at New Jersey City University.
