Elizabeth Willis
Elizabeth Willis is the author of several previous books including Address, Meteoric Flowers, Turneresque, and The Human Abstract. Willis has had her poetry and poetry criticism published in anthologies and journals including The Chicago Review, American Folklore, American Poet, Prose Poem: An International Journal, The American Poetry Review and An Anthology of New (American) Poets. Willis has won numerous awards for her poetry including the Academy of American Poets Prize (1991), inclusion in the National Poetry Series (1994), the Laurence L. and Thomas Winship/PEN New England Award (2012), and a Guggenheim Fellowship (2012). Also, her poetry has been translated, for publication, into French, Serbo-Croatian, and Dutch. She is Shapiro-Silverberg Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Wesleyan University.
