Submission Guidelines:

We are currently accepting proposals for books in the areas of dance, music, and HartfordBooks.

Poetry

Submissions for full length (60–80 page) poetry manuscripts for publication in Wesleyan University Press’s renowned poetry series will be open for the entirety of the month of February. These manuscripts must be predominantly in English and must be either your original work or translation. Submissions are open to poets of all ages, races, and nationalities.


PDFs of the manuscript and a short cover letter, which includes a brief description of the project and a personal bio, are requird. The submission fee is $25 per manuscript.

The press will aim to respond to submissions in no longer than 6 months.

Music, Dance, and HartfordBooks

For all other subjects, please inquire by email and include the following:

  • cover letter and table of contents
  • a sample chapter or two
  • the anticipated length of the manuscript
  • the anticipated date of completion (if still a work-in-progress)
  • anticipated market for your book
  • cv

We request that you do not submit your complete manuscript unless the press has invited you to do so.
